Deli Law Office was founded by attorney Erol Deli. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2003, he served for approximately fifteen years as a public prosecutor in various regions of Turkey. He then entered private practice and established the office. Drawing on over twenty years in the profession, its work is now confined to serious criminal proceedings before the assize courts.
The office operates in Bahçelievler, Istanbul. Matters are handled from start to finish by Erol Deli; the client is kept informed at regular intervals and the available legal options are set out clearly at every stage.
In Turkish, the word “deli” may at first suggest recklessness, but its roots lie in courage and resolve. In the Ottoman army the term described cavalry units that took on the most hazardous assignments. The name of the office derives from that meaning, and it is also the founder’s surname. For us the word expresses a willingness to take on difficult matters and to carry out the duty of defence with determination.
The office works on three principles. The first is preparation: every matter is examined in detail with regard to the evidence and the legal basis. The second is transparency: the client knows what stage the process has reached, what options exist and what their likely consequences are. The third is continuity: a matter is handled by the same lawyer from beginning to end.
To work from a conviction in the rule of law and in the indispensability of the right to a defence. To set out the client’s legal position realistically and to manage the process together.
To meet the client’s legal needs in good time and with professional care. To provide information at every stage, to explain the legal options and their consequences clearly, and to remain bound by professional and ethical principles.
Honesty, transparency and adherence to professional ethics. Confidentiality in the client relationship. Diligence in the time and preparation devoted to each matter. Continuous attention to changes in legislation and case law.
